Caribbean author launches new book on religion and philosophy
The book entitled “God vs. Judaism & Christianity,” by Theo Chambers, non-denominational minister and entrepreneur, uses the Socratic principles of teaching to challenge the reader to think and ask questions, which leads to better understanding and enlightenment.
The book is staged in a court room and opens with the Defense making the following statement:
“Good morning to this Honorable Supreme Court of World Spiritual Justice and you, the Jury. You bear the weighty responsibility to hand down an unprecedented verdict that will impact Judaism and Christianity around the world.”
The Defense proceeds to unveil his plan to use biblical documents (accusations) hurled by the Prosecutors (Judaism and Christianity) to prove that God, his Client, has been misrepresented over time.
Chambers uses multiple sources of reference to present historical facts, including the wisdom of the ancients such as: Socrates, Galileo, St. Augustine, Plato, Aristotle and Thomas Paine, coupled with his unending wit to defend his client, God.
Chambers use of the Socratic principles of teaching by posing questions, challenge the reader to take an introspective look at long-held traditional beliefs instead of accepting them at face value.
